Daily Visitors

We've been visited by a flock of turkeys on an almost daily basis this fall. Turns out all those acorns that are such a pain to rake up are their favorite food.

Today I counted 23 turkeys in our front yard. They make quite the spectacle! We had cars stopped in front of our house observing them all morning.

Did you know Turkeys can fly?

Some other fun facts about the turkey:

• Ben Franklin opposed the Bald Eagle as our national bird and thought the turkey more appropriate
• Turkeys are omnivores and will eat nuts, grasses as well as small snakes and lizards
• Turkeys have 5000-6000 feathers
• A baby turkey is called a poult

11 Months

I can't believe Everett is already 11 months old. Crazy. He's already his own little man with so much personality. He's absolutely hilarious!!! And so adventerous. It's so fun to watch him discover the world. Here are a couple pictures from the last few days.

For E's first Halloween he was a giraffe. He had his girlfriend, Harlow the ladybug, over for some playtime while us adults passed out candy, had some pot roast and delicious black cherry wine from Door County.

I finally broke the 4 hour mark at the Twin Cities Marathon, October 2nd. I think watching for Everett, Adam and my parents was a huge motivator. They were the best fan club ever... even though I got ahead of them and their first inclination was to check the medical tents instead of the finish line!

Everett 6 Months

I'm pretty behind with the blogging lately which is made even more apparent as I post his 6 month photos now that he is 7 and a half months old. Oh well.

 

  

 

 

6 months old...

E-man is now 6 months old and changing so fast! Last weekend the fabulous Erin LeFebvre stopped by to get some shots of Everett at 6 months old. I have been a slacker on taking pictures lately and even worse about getting them onto Adam's PC and then onto this blog. I really need to get better about that because, WOW, he is growing so fast.

Stupid Robber

I haven't really had a chance to blog in a while. A couple weeks after my last blog someone broke into our house while we were at work and stole a bunch of our stuff, including my laptop which had almost every photo from the last 2 years of our lives on it.

Stupid stupid robber!!!! I hate you!!!!! I hope you get blown up in a meth-lab explosion you stupid meanie!!!!

So I haven't really been that into it lately. I'm forced to use Adam's computer which has the weirdest friggin' keyboard and mouse known to man and I don't know how he files anything on here after it's downloaded.

So anyway, stay tuned. Maybe I'll get used to this new get-up and get some E-updates on here. He is getting so big and cuter everyday :)

Happy Birthday Beau and Marcus!

A couple weeks ago we were in Rochester for a birthday bash in honor of Uncle Beau and Cousin Marcus. It became evident that Everett is part McAlpine with how much he was giggling all weekend!

Everett celebrated his first Easter this year and Grandma and Grandpa Moe's house.

And after we got home we noticed some of the wild flowers on the side of our house have come out. How neat to have our own little "secret garden".

Hooray! He is risen, and so have some flowers!!!
